A death in custody can also close a jail booking, but it is not an ordinary community release. Records may be limited while an investigation is pending. Always use the precise release reason supplied by the agency.

Does bond mean the case was dismissed? No. It means the person left jail after the required bond conditions were met. The court case normally continues unless the docket later shows dismissal or another final disposition.
